Broward County Public Schools has announced the golden award-winning schools for the 2019/2020 school year, and out of 80 district schools, 13 are located in Coral Springs or serve its students.
Presented annually by the Florida Department of Education, they recognize exemplary volunteer programs that promote parent and community engagement in education.
The elementary schools that received golden awards have been recognized for many years: Ramblewood Elementary and Westchester Elementary for 40 years; Maplewood Elementary for 38; Park Springs Elementary for 30; Eagle Ridge Elementary for 23; Riverside Elementary for 21; and Parkside Elementary School for 18.
Middle schools that received golden awards were Forest Glen Middle for 27; Ramblewood Middle for 26; Sawgrass Springs Middle for 20; and Westglades Middle School for four years.
High Schools that received golden awards were Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School for 21 and Coral Glades High School for 14.
