Joanna Sadowski, 41, of Lake Worth, teaches English and gifted students at Coral Springs Middle School. She was arrested on August 2, after an officer observed her veering off the side of the road several times in her red 2012 Mini Cooper heading northbound on Military Trail. The officer also noticed the car was driving 60 mph in a 45 mph zone.

According to the police report, once stopped, the officer noticed she had a strong odor of alcohol, her eyes were bloodshot and glassy, and that she was slurring her speech.  The officer asked her where she had been coming from and she told him a local bar and that she had been drinking.

She was booked in Palm Beach County Jail and later released.
