My primary physician took a trip to Russia so my dad and I were stuck without a doctor. My dad got that chest congestion crap that has been going around so I asked my buddy about a good urgent care joint. He recommended MedExpress. I took my dad, and walked in.
MedExpress is very modern, new, and professional looking. Honestly, it looks like a law office. In business since 2001, they have locations all over Florida including Boca Raton, Boynton Beach and Palm Beach Garden as well asthe rest of the U.S. We checked in quickly and if you can believe it, there were no forms to fill out. I leave my dad and head to work.
I saw my dad later and he said everything went smoothly.
Six days pass and my dad is better, but not 100 percent. I tell him to go back to MedExpress but he didn’t want to go. Knowing my pop, I offer to go with him and sit while being checked out. We waited maybe five minutes until they took us inside the main office. Again, everything looks great. He sees the nurse and asks questions as the nurse types the answers into an iPad. Pretty cool. The doctor comes in, or maybe she was a physicians assistant, who knows. She does her doctor thing and they take an x-ray to rule out pneumonia. Final ruling, my dad is diagnosed with bronchitis. He gets his prescription and we leave. End of story, not really…
Four days later, I catch the same thing my dad has.
Dammit!
I’m feeling like crap and it’s hard to breath. My primary doctor is back but they don’t call me back right away. Screw it.
I head back to MedExpress and the staff remembers me. After checking in, I’m being looked at in less than 10 minutes. Same doctor, same nurse, it’s like Groundhog Day except my dad escaped the nightmare.
Boom, same diagnosis as my pop. I get my prescriptions and leave. I’m there maybe 30 minutes.
I don’t know about you but every time I go to my doctor I wait at least an hour. You kinda get used to it and expect it. This place has spoiled me. No filling out of forms, barely any waiting, modern facility and really nice staff. Listen, I hate going to the doctor, but this place is the real deal. Remember to tell them tell them Dan and Coral Springs Talk sent you and Stay Healthy!
This place gets four thumbs up.
