Avoid the mall crowds on “Black Friday”and add a furry friend to your family at the “Name Your Price Pet Adoption Event” that is being held at the Humane Society of Broward County and Broward County Animal Care and Adoption on Friday, November 28.
Both shelters will be offering “Door Busters” and opening an hour early. During this time the adoption fees will be waived for select pets. After the door buster hour, adopters will be able to pay the adoption fee they think is fair for any pet over the age of 5 months. Regular adoption fees range from $25 – $100. Whether you’re looking for big or small, purebred or a unique mixed breed…there is always love for sale at the adoption centers.
Although the shelters are independent and not affiliated with each other, they both share the common goal of finding homes for the animals in their care. When you adopt from either shelter all pets are spayed or neutered before going home. In addition, they receive preliminary vaccinations, a microchip, heartworm test for dogs over seven months, feline leukemia test for cats, and more.
On Friday, November 28 the shelter hours will be: Humane Society of Broward County – 9:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, 33312 – 954-989-3977
Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Center – 9:30 a.m. – 4:00p.m.
1870 SW 39th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, 33315 – 954-359-1313
