I just love this video, however, I don’t know too much about it. I contacted “Saritasmiles1” on YouTube but I never heard back. It says on Youtube that she is Coral Springs High School Alumni and graduated in 2011 and this is what she captured last year.
It’s so hard to resist those small plastic bags. Store clerks mindlessly fill them with one or two items, and they can’t help but double or triple bag them as they have become so flimsy. Take a look at people walking out of the grocery store, you will see nothing but a shopping cart full of 10-20 of these.

Coral Springs Resident Carly Goldstein, 16, was interviewed on the Sirius Radio program “Making The Turn” on March 8th along with her father, Golf Instructor Barry Goldstein. Carly, who is a Junior at Coral Glades High School, is an up-and-coming golfer who is being heavily recruited by colleges at this time. Her father Barry was voted as one of the “Top 25 Golf Instructors.

The city website is a great source of information that saves them time and money by having important information available all in one place so residents can access it easily without contacting their staff. This website may be the first place a potential resident may go to find out more information about the city that they they are moving to or it may be the first place a business goes to find information about the city, or to bid on future projects.
Broward County Public Schools recognized its outstanding employees this evening (March 1) with its new Caliber Awards during a combined ceremony held at the Signature Grand in Davie. The gala event replaces the annual ACCLAIM, Teacher of the Year and School-Related Employee of the Year ceremonies held in the past. The event was streamed live by BECON-TV on the District’s website.

Photographer Marie LaFauci is pictured on the historic covered bridge in Coral Springs wearing a TuTu that has traveled the world. She said that photographers would mail the TuTu to each other, take photos wearing it, then pass it on. Looks like Marie chose a great place to wear hers.
The Dr. Steven G. Paul Dog Park in the Coral Springs Sportsplex, built in the mid 90s, was one of the first Dog Parks in Florida and attracts dog lovers from surrounding cities as well. The idea for the dog park was developed in 1992 while Dr.Steven Paul, former Hospital Director of Wiles Road and Cypress Wood Animal Hospitals, was attending a veterinary conference in Massachusetts.

KUSA news director Patti Dennis said Dyer was doing well after reconstructive surgery on her lip. It was reported that Dyer needed some 70 stitches and a skin graft as a result of the bite.

It amazes me how much the local media does not understand how our government works.
They write stories and post on blogs about how contentious some of our debates on the dais get on any given Tuesday during Broward County Commission meetings.
One thing they do not realize is that a Florida law forces this to happen: It is called the Sunshine Law.
Coral Springs dog walker in the NW 46 Manor and 47 th Drive shoots a PitBull after walking a boxer. He tried several times to pull off the pitbull but had to shoot it. The man has a concealed weapons permit. The boxer is being treated at an animal hospital and the owner of the pitbull is being cited for having an animal off a leash.
District Three which covers Parkland, Coral Springs, Tamarac, and half of North Lauderdale has been has been represented by Stacy Ritter since 2006. Ritter, a Democrat will be running again this year and has competition with Robert W. Sutton. Sutton, a Republican currently teaches High School with Broward County Schools.
The other day I noticed something a bit different about this SUV on University Drive that didn’t look quite right. Pulling closer, it appeared that the owner performed a little automotive surgery with duct tape all along the rear tailgate section.
