School Board Choices in Coral Springs and Parkland Will Be a Tough Choice

The School Board race for District 4 will have a competitive season now that six candidates have filed to run in the open seat. More candidates have filed to run in District 4 race than for any other school board race in the county. There may seem to be a lot of candidates, however, during this time in 2010, there were seven candidates, with only six made it past qualifying.

An inclusion program called “Play Pal” is set to start in the fall in Broward County schools. The program, which was first implemented ten years ago at one of the schools, was first started by a autism coach. Coral Springs Resident Carly Goldstein, 16, was interviewed on the Sirius Radio program “Making The Turn” on March 8th along with her father, Golf Instructor Barry Goldstein. Carly, who is a Junior at Coral Glades High School, is an up-and-coming golfer who is being heavily recruited by colleges at this time. Her father Barry was voted as one of the “Top 25 Golf Instructors.
