Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office believe a medical event may have led to a man crashing his vehicle into a tree in Parkland on Christmas Eve.
Around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, witnesses said that Salvatore Aliotta, 92, of Coconut Creek was swerving in and out of lanes into oncoming traffic as he headed eastbound on the 8300 block of Holmberg Road. His 2008 Toyota then ran off the road and crashed into a tree.
The investigation continues.
