A 10-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in Coral Springs Sunday night, police said.
The crash happened as the child rode his bicycle on the 8400 block of Northwest 40th Street at about 8:40 p.m., according to Coral Springs Police.
He was airlifted to a local hospital with serious injuries, authorities said.
“He survived the crash, but he has some significant injuries,” said Coral Springs Police Officer Chris Swinson, spokesman for the department.
The hit and run driver remained at large Monday afternoon.
Police said they had obtained video from the area and were working to release it to the public Monday.
Additional details were not immediately made public.
