Highlights from the 2023 Coral Springs Campout {City of Coral Springs}
By Sharon Aron Baron
Coral Springs families are invited to a unique outdoor experience with Campout Coral Springs this January.
The event, set to run from January 20 to 21, 2024, promises a weekend full of adventure and family fun at Sportsplex Park, at 2800 Sportsplex Drive.
Organizers are preparing over 100 spacious 20ft. x 20ft. tent spots to transform the athletic fields into a camping wonderland. The park will offer a packed schedule of activities spanning two days. Families can indulge in classic camping delights like s’mores-making around communal campfires, overseen by the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department for safety.
An outdoor big-screen movie, karaoke sessions, and a starlit dance party add to the excitement. Family kickball games and various lawn games are on the agenda for the more active campers. The park also features a playground and basketball courts for additional entertainment.
Safety is a priority at the event, with Coral Springs Public Safety officials present to ensure a secure environment. All activities, including the overnight stay, are confined within a fenced field for added security.
This exclusive event is open only to Coral Springs residents. The participation fee is $80, covering a camping spot for four, access to all activities, meals (including lunch and breakfast), giveaways, and more.
Campers are required to bring their own tents, sleeping supplies, and chairs. Additional campers, up to a maximum of six per site, are welcome at an extra cost of $20 each.
Interested residents should note that pre-registration is mandatory. Due to limited space, registration opens at noon on Wednesday, December 6, and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
