A Coral Springs Police officer was the big winner on Wheel of Fortune Tuesday night, winning $39,000 in cash and prizes including a trip to Hawaii.
Officer Brody Scott, a Wheel Fan since childhood, has served as a police officer since 2009 and joined the Coral Springs force in 2012. Scott’s wide-ranging career has seen him work as a road patrol officer, field training officer, crisis intervention officer, police diver, breath tech operator, motorcycle officer, and traffic homicide investigator.
According to Christopher Orenic, communications manager for Wheel, Scott said he remembers picking out his very first video game for Nintendo: Wheel of Fortune Family Edition.
“Now, he watches every night with his wife and in-laws,” Orenic said. “Brody won a total of $39,000 in cash and prizes including a trip to Kauai [in Hawaii]. With his winnings, he plans on taking his family on vacation.”
Scott, who with his wife Dasha has three kids, said he “loves living close to the Everglades and takes his kids there to fish and see the all the wildlife that it has to offer.”
The police officer turned game-show winner will next be appearing on Wheel of Fortune’s European Vacation Week, where contestants compete to win vacations to European countries, new cars, and cash prizes by spinning the Wheel and solving hangman-style puzzles, Orenic said.
