The City of Coral Springs is set to host its annual WorldFest event on Saturday, March 4, from 12 to 5 p.m. at the City Hall Lawn, where residents can experience a trip around the world without leaving town.
Organized by the Multi-Cultural Advisory Committee, the free event celebrates the diverse cultural makeup of Coral Springs and surrounding communities. Attendees can enjoy a range of activities and performances, from live music to dance performances and games, all highlighting the city’s uniqueness.
Commissioner Nancy Metayer Bowen, who serves as the Commission liaison for the Multi-Cultural Advisory Committee, said it brings together the beauty of the city’s diverse cultures in one place.
One of the highlights of the event is a series of cooking demonstrations, where guests can sample cuisines from various international locations. Additionally, the main stage and dance floor will showcase performances from around the world, including acts like Venezuela’s Danza Y Tambor, Brazil’s Capo Capoeira Brazilian Martial Arts, Mexico’s Grupo Folklorico Timanati Mexican Dancers, Pure Dynamics Dance Studio, and the Coral Springs Chinese Cultural Association.
Children of all ages can enjoy the “Kids World” section, which features art activities and crafts depicting various cultures.
The City Hall Lawn is located at 9500 W. Sample Rd.
