Education leaders will join community members, parents, and business owners for an open dialogue on the future of Broward County Public Schools during Community Connect, an event hosted by the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce.
The event takes place on Friday, August 1, at noon at Coral Springs City Hall, located at 9500 W. Sample Road. It is free and open to the public.
Community Connect is held in partnership with the City of Coral Springs and the City of Coconut Creek and will feature remarks from several key education leaders:
- Dr. Howard Hepburn, Superintendent, Broward County Public Schools
- Dr. Jermaine Fleming, North Regional Superintendent
- Debra Hixon, School Board Chair, Countywide At-Large Seat 9
- Lori Alhadeff, School Board Member, District 4
Organizers say the event will offer insight into district priorities and initiatives while providing an opportunity for the public to engage with the decision-makers shaping local education policy.
“We are honored to host these outstanding leaders in education for a meaningful conversation about the future of our students and schools,” said Charinus Davis, President & CEO of the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce. “Strong schools build strong communities, and this event reflects our Chamber’s commitment to fostering partnerships that enhance educational opportunities and support our future workforce.”
Community Connect is part of the Chamber’s mission to strengthen business-education partnerships in Northwest Broward. The event is made possible with support from Florida Power & Light, the City of Coral Springs, and the City of Coconut Creek.
