Coral Springs Native and Hollywood Screenwriter Dan Hernandez to Share Career Journey at Event

Coral Springs native and acclaimed Hollywood screenwriter Dan Hernandez will return to his hometown next month to discuss his path from South Florida to the entertainment industry during a special community event.

“From Coral Springs to Hollywood: Conversations with Dan Hernandez” will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 4 to 6 p.m.

The informal discussion will give attendees an inside look at Hernandez’s career, featuring behind-the-scenes stories, lessons learned, and insights into the creative process of bringing films and television projects to life. The event will also include a question-and-answer session, allowing audience members to ask Hernandez about his work and experiences in the industry.

Hernandez’s recent screenwriting credits include Spaceballs: The New One, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, and Pokémon Detective Pikachu.

As a showrunner, he has led the animated series LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy and Koala Man.

The event is geared toward aspiring filmmakers, writers, storytellers, and movie fans interested in learning more about the film and television industry.
