The Chi Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority has announced its highly anticipated second event of their “Courageous Conversation” series, featuring Coral Springs City Commissioner Joshua Simmons.
This engaging and informative dialogue aims to educate and enlighten the community on various pressing topics, including voting rights, the HB999 bill, and other significant local policies directly impacting the community.
The event occurs on Thursday, June 8, 2023, inside the Coral Springs High School Auditorium at 7201 W. Sample Road.
Attendees are invited to arrive at 6:00 p.m. to enjoy light refreshments before the main event commences. The conversation with Simmons will officially begin at 6:30 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to arrive promptly to secure their seats.
According to the Chapter, Simmons has been instrumental in driving positive change and advocating for social justice. Through this Courageous Conversation event, attendees will have a unique opportunity to engage directly with Commissioner Simmons, ask questions, and contribute to meaningful discussions.
Attendance for this event is free, but registration is required. Interested individuals can register online through Eventbrite. The organizers kindly request all attendees to complete the registration process as early as possible to secure their spots, as seating is limited.
