Bites-N-Sips in Coral Springs
The Force was strong in Downtown Coral Springs Friday night as residents and Star Wars enthusiasts gathered at the City Hall Lawn for a unique interstellar twist on the city’s Bites-N-Sips food truck event.
From 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., the community celebrated the eve of “May the Fourth” with an array of activities and gourmet offerings, all set against a backdrop of the iconic Star Wars saga.
The event kicked off with a parade of flavors as local food trucks lined up to serve gourmet dishes. Attendees savored everything from spicy tacos to sweet treats, all while enjoying crafted cocktails from on-site stations.
The 501st Legion Everglades Squad made a special appearance, with members dressed in detailed Star Wars costumes, allowing fans to pose for photos with their favorite characters. Live music by “Livewire” set an upbeat tempo for the evening, with attendees dancing and enjoying the fun.
One of the highlights of the evening was the first-ever Doggie Costume Contest, where local pups strutted their stuff in Star Wars-themed outfits.
The contest winner, a pup named Leia, captured the hearts of the audience with her adorable costume, earning her the top prize and bragging rights as the galaxy’s cutest Jedi.
Children and families also engaged in various activities, including free Skee-ball, galaxy-themed arts and crafts, and making Mother’s Day cards, adding a personal touch to the celebrations.
