Broward Health Coral Springs Partners with Women of Tomorrow {Broward Health}
Broward Health Coral Springs recently joined forces with Women of Tomorrow, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering at-risk young women, to give South Broward High School students a firsthand look at careers in healthcare.
As part of the initiative, the students met with executive leadership at Broward Health Coral Springs and then shadowed teams in the pharmacy, rehabilitation, pediatrics, and nutrition departments.
According to Broward Health, most of the students involved have an interest in healthcare-related fields. Through hands-on experiences, they had the opportunity to observe what it’s like to work in a hospital environment.
Programs like these are designed to motivate and encourage young women to reach their full potential by exposing them to a range of professional paths in healthcare, according to Broward Health.
