Broward Health Coral Springs celebrated the grand opening of the fourth-floor inpatient unit on February 18 with a ribbon cutting attended by hospital executives and city leaders.
The hospital building, which includes 28 private rooms, was expanded with a 28,000-square-foot fourth floor. The project cost about $16 million, and construction began in April 2024.
According to Kristen Bowman, CEO of Broward Health Coral Springs, the fourth-floor addition will allow the hospital to provide a full range of surgical care to patients from arrival to discharge.
Before the ribbon cutting, Bowman praised the work of the entire hospital staff and said they have worked hard to provide the highest quality of care.

Broward Health Board member Stacy Angier praised the work of the entire hospital staff and said the new addition will mean better healthcare for the community.
Shane Strum, CEO of Broward Health, commended hospital staff and the individuals involved in building the new floor for their work.
