A no-kill animal rescue organization is holding a pet adoption event in Coral Springs on Saturday, July 31, organizers said.
Penny and Wild Smalls of South Florida, a 501(c) non-profit specializing in rabbits and guinea pigs, will facilitate adoptions at Pet Supermarket, 2446 N. University Dr., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“There will be adoptable bunnies and guinea pigs looking for homes,” the nonprofit said in a press release. “Come by, hold these babies, and show them some love.”
The rabbits and guinea pigs are vetted, spayed/neutered, and socialized in foster homes before adoption, the organization said.
The nonprofit accepts owner surrenders and trap pets who were abandoned outside. They also provide sanctuary to a limited number of animals who cannot be adopted due to medical conditions or behavioral problems.
