The Coral Springs Police Department’s Summer Youth Program is kicking off a week of back-to-school events Tuesday with a school supply and backpack giveaway for campers, the department said.
With the help of donations from the community, the program will provide 200 backpacks with school supplies and school uniforms to youth program campers enrolled in Broward County Public Schools.
The donated materials will be distributed to campers from Tuesday, July 27 through Thursday, July 29, from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The police department camp uses the facilities at Hunt Elementary School, 7800 NW 35th Court, in Coral Springs.
