The Coral Glades High School Orchestra will present its Winter Concert on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 7 p.m. at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts.
The concert will feature the debut of “Waltz of Snow and Ice,” a newly commissioned piece by Sarah Ruff, Assistant Professor of Music at Oakwood University.
The American Composers Forum commissioned the music through its “Quest” Youth Program, which supports the creation of new works for young musicians. Ruff’s piece draws inspiration from seasonal themes, adding an original element to the evening’s program.
In addition to the premiere, the concert will include performances of other winter-themed selections.
Tickets for the performance are $5 per person and can be purchased at the door. The venue is 2855 Coral Springs Drive, Coral Springs, FL, 33065.
