After a great career with the Coral Glades, Kenrick Cherrelus has committed to playing college football, choosing Aurora University in Illinois.
“First and for most, I just want to thank God for helping me make this great decision, Cherrelus said. “It feels good to be committed to Aurora university.”

Cherrelus began playing football in ninth grade, helping the Jaguars reach the State Playoffs for the first time in school history. In three games, he recorded eight tackles.
In only one year, he developed a terrific relationship with Head Coach Cam Thomas and assistant Andres Torres. He also had an opportunity to compete in the Orange Bowl Showcase, felt an immediate connection with Aurora University, and made it official.
“Kendrick came over looking for an opportunity, said Coach Thomas. “He’s a hard-working young man that earned this opportunity. He was an excellent role player that did what he was asked to do. I expect him to continue to grow, earn everything he wants.”
This fall, Cherrelus joins a program that went 8-2 in the regular season and reached the NCAA Division III playoffs.
