Coral Springs Charter pitcher Carter Wojcik officially announced his commitment to La Salle University in Philadelphia.
“I would like to thank my Coaches who helped me get this far in my career,” Wojcik said. “Thank you, Coach Rob, Coach George, Coach Fitz, and Coach Cimi, for everything you have done. I would also like to thank the Lord for guiding me to this opportunity.”
Wojcik had a great year on the varsity team this past season at CSC, going 1-0 with a 2.17 era. He tossed a complete game shutout against Cooper City School and tossed 19.1 innings with 20 strikeouts. His team reached Regionals after winning 16 games before falling to St. John Paul Academy.
The senior also played for the Orginal Florida Pokers and was a part of their BCS National Championship. He pitched in four games, making two starts while also hitting recording four hits in 12 at-bats.
Wojcik will still have one year left of high school baseball before playing for a team that went 32-21 last season.
