Former Coral Springs Charter Pitcher Chris Kahler Wins Conference Award in College

Former Coral Springs Charter pitcher Chris Kahler had a stellar season with George Washington University and was selected to the Atlantic 10 Second Team All-Conference.

Kahler, a 2020 graduate of CSC, went 4-3 with an ERA of 3.57. He was also a two-time Pitcher of the Week winner, leading the conference with a 1.19 WHIP.

In April, Kahler pitched his second straight complete game for the Colonials, which put his team into a three-way tie for the final spot in the conference tournament. He took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and kept the tying run on base in both the eighth and ninth inning. He finished first in the league with three complete games, ranking sixth in the country. George Washington finished the regular season with a record of 21-34.

In high school, Kahler was a member of the varsity baseball team for three seasons, where he went 10-2 and pitched to an ERA of 2.22. He struck out 131 hitters in 94.2 innings and recorded a pair of saves. Kahler will play summer ball with the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cop League. They have won 17 League Championships.
