Coral Springs Charter gymnastic star Sydney Crouch signed her letter of intent to compete at Southeast Missouri State University (SMSU) after graduating in 2022.
“Gymnastics has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and it has always been my dream to compete at the collegiate level,” Crouch said. “I am so proud to be a member of the Redhawks gymnastics team.”
She joins a program that went 11-10 last year, the most wins they had since 2014. They competed in the NCAA Regional Championship and the 2021 USA Gymnastics Women’s Collegiate National Champions.
Crouch has been a member of the American Twisters club, where she started doing cartwheels and handstands at five-years-old. During her junior season, she was a state, regional, and national qualifier. Now a level-10 team member, Crouch will participate in her final competition before heading to college to study Exercise Science.
“SMSU is exactly what I was looking for in a college,” Crouch said. “Their gymnastics team has a family culture, and the top seller was the coaches who truly believed in me.”
