The Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation has awarded its first round of 2026 Education Foundation Micro-Grants to local educators, funding innovative classroom projects that enhance learning opportunities for students in Coral Springs and Coconut Creek.
The grant recipients will be recognized during the Chamber’s Partners in Progress: Education Community Impact Luncheon on Thursday, Aug. 27, where business leaders, educators, elected officials and community partners will celebrate the educators and their projects.
“The grants help bring innovative ideas to life while creating lasting opportunities for students to learn, grow, and succeed,” said Charinus Davis, president and CEO of the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce.
The annual Micro-Grant Program supports creative educational initiatives that expand classroom instruction and provide students with hands-on learning experiences beyond the traditional curriculum.
This year’s recipients include:
Park Springs Elementary School – Multisensory Speech Sound Lab
Winston Park Elementary School – First Grade Robotics Lab: Learning Through Motorized LEGO Creations
Coconut Creek K-8 Academy of Excellence – Every Drop Counts: Water Conservation & Gardening for Student Innovation
Lyons Creek Middle School – Enhancing Communication for Non-Verbal & Limited Verbal Students
Tradewinds Elementary School – ASD Sensory Room
Parkside Elementary School – ASD Cluster
Park Springs Elementary School – Engineering Motion: Marble Roller Coaster STEM Challenge
Lyons Creek Middle School – Reading Heroes
Hunt Elementary School – Playground in Honor of Late Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer
According to the Chamber, the funded projects focus on STEM education, literacy, environmental science, communication, special education and student engagement.
