The Coral Springs Police Department reported numerous crimes across the city between May 19 and May 25, 2025. Please note that the police have redacted the names of victims and addresses of most incidents.
Thefts and Burglaries
A burglary with forced entry was reported at a vehicle on Ramblewood Drive on May 19. Nothing was stolen.
A car burglary resulted in $35 in losses between May 15 and 16.
A separate vehicle burglary on May 20 reported a $10,000 loss.
Another vehicle burglary occurred on Jasmine Lane, resulting in $1,500 in losses.
A non-forced entry business burglary was reported on May 22, resulting in a $6,038 loss.
An auto theft was reported in Coconut Creek on May 23.
A second vehicle was reported stolen in Coral Springs on May 24.
Retail and Shoplifting Cases
Multiple retail thefts were reported across businesses, including Macy’s, Publix, Walmart, Target, and Home Depot, with losses ranging from $44 to $1,088.
A suspect stole $343 worth of goods from a store on University Drive on May 22.
Three separate shoplifting incidents occurred at the same location on Westview Drive, with minor losses under $50 each.
Fraud and Financial Crimes
Several fraud cases were reported throughout the city, with losses ranging from $1,164 to $12,000.
Forgery involving counterfeit checks was reported at a business on Wiles Road.
Violent and Domestic Incidents
Police responded to multiple domestic battery incidents, including one involving alleged strangulation and another involving a pregnant victim.
A burglary with battery was reported twice—once on May 21 and again on May 23.
A strong-arm robbery arrest was made on May 19.
Other Notable Incidents
Several individuals were Baker Acted throughout the week.
Two cases of elder neglect were reported on May 22.
Police investigated several civil matters, suspicious incidents, and threat assessments.
Multiple “risk of harm” calls and curfew violations were documented.
Arrests
Nicholas Tyler Johnson was arrested for strong-arm robbery.
Parnell Lafontant was charged with cocaine possession.
Steevenson Dieujuste and Seville Current were both charged with felony retail theft at Home Depot.
Andre Anthony Henry was arrested for burglary with assault.
Several individuals, including Jenni Christine Lebron Young, Luz Angela Penuela Ramirez, Giovanni Dunn, Robert Earl Austin, and Michael McKenzie Wiltshire, were arrested on charges related to domestic battery.
Scarlet Ibarra Araos, Claudia Acosta, and Cody Matthew Chmelik were arrested for shoplifting incidents.
Moise Salnave and Tevin J. Green were charged with battery-related offenses.
