Coral Springs Police Department {Aiden Palmer}

The Coral Springs Police Department reported numerous crime incidents across the city between January 29 – February 4, including arrests and various charges.

Retail Thefts and Shoplifting

Walmart at 6001 Coral Ridge Dr. reported a shoplifting incident on Jan. 29 at 5:48 p.m. The estimated loss was $74.

Barnes & Noble at 2790 N University Dr. experienced a shoplifting incident between Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m. and Jan. 28 at 8:00 p.m., with a reported loss of $520.

Home Depot at 750 N University Dr. was targeted for felony retail theft on Jan. 29 between 3:35 p.m. and 3:38 p.m. The estimated loss was $326.

Target at 9600 Westview Dr. reported multiple shoplifting incidents, including one on Jan. 31 at 12:31 p.m. with a loss of $86 and another on Feb. 1 at 5:22 p.m. with a loss of $30.

Dicks Sporting Goods at 8921 W Atlantic Blvd. reported a shoplifting case on Feb. 1 at 8:22 p.m., with an estimated loss of $226.

Whole Body Dietitian Nutriiton Counseling

Total Wine at 2564 N University Dr. experienced a shoplifting incident on Feb. 1 between 5:19 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., with an estimated loss of $283.

Walmart at 6001 Coral Ridge Dr. reported another shoplifting case on Feb. 2 at 2:57 p.m., with a reported loss of $51.

Fraud and Identity Theft

A fraud case was reported on Jan. 29, with an estimated financial loss of $4,532.

Identity theft was reported at multiple locations in Coral Springs, including an incident between Dec. 1, 2024, and Jan. 29, 2025.

Another fraud case resulted in a financial loss of $5,605 and was reported on Feb. 2.

Burglaries and Grand Thefts

A grand theft case was reported at 54 N University Dr. on Jan. 29 between 1:00 p.m. and 2:05 p.m., with an estimated loss of $1,405.

Yacht Dzign at 7800 W Sample Rd. was burglarized on Jan. 30 at 10:57 p.m.

Target at 9600 Westview Dr. was hit with a burglary business (non-forced entry) on Feb. 4, with an estimated loss of $5.

Burglary with assault was reported in Coral Springs between 10:15 p.m. and 10:25 p.m. on Feb. 3.

A burglary conveyance/theft from an auto occurred on Feb. 2, with an estimated loss of $525.

Assaults and Domestic Incidents

A domestic battery case was reported in Coral Springs on Jan. 29.

Another domestic battery by strangulation case was reported on Jan. 30.

A battery on a school board employee was reported on Jan. 28 and filed on Feb. 3.

Multiple battery and aggravated assault cases were reported throughout the week.

Arrests

Craig Ivory Murphy, 36, was arrested on Jan. 29 at 1900 N University Dr. on a Capias warrant.

Kelley Sanchez, 35, was arrested for petit theft at Walmart on Jan. 29.

Guesmirde Lamarre, 21, was arrested for domestic battery by strangulation on Jan. 30.

Delston D. Francis, 40, was arrested for domestic battery on Jan. 31.

Cristina Adela Martinez Brewster, 35, was arrested for shoplifting at Target on Feb. 1.

Diana M. Espaillat, 39, was arrested for battery on Feb. 2.
