Reported Incidents
Shoplifting
Walmart at 3801 Turtle Creek Dr. on January 15. Total Estimated Loss: $94.
Bath and Body Works at 9175 W Atlantic Blvd on January 15. Total Estimated Loss: $556.
Walmart at 6001 Coral Ridge Dr. Multiple incidents were reported between January 12-15 and January 14-15. Total Estimated Losses: $297, $547, and $496.
Thefts and Burglaries
Grand Theft: Vehicle stolen near Riverside Dr. on January 15. Estimated Loss: $1,190.
Grand Theft: Macy’s at 9263 W Atlantic Blvd on January 15. Estimated Loss: $1,262.
Burglary: Forced entry at a residence in Coral Springs on January 16. Estimated Loss: $93,300.
Grand Theft: Jewelry was stolen near NW 124th Ave. on January 17. Estimated Loss: $15,422.
Fraud
Fraudulent activity was reported near Atlantic Blvd. on January 15 and 21. Total Estimated Losses: $245 and $441.
Assaults
Aggravated Assault: Reported on January 17. The suspect was armed with a firearm.
Domestic Battery: Several incidents were reported, including strangulation.
DUI Violations
DUI was reported at 10300 Westview Dr. on January 15.
A second DUI offense was reported on University Dr. on January 19.
Narcotics Violations
Two incidents were reported near Riverside Dr. on January 15.
Arrests
Retail Theft
Jethro Lauriston (27) was arrested on January 15 for shoplifting at Walmart, 3801 Turtle Creek Dr.
Alfred Exantus (38) was arrested on January 18 for retail theft at Walmart.
Grand Theft
Franco Andre Cedeno (29) was arrested on January 15 for grand theft between $751-$5,000 at Macy’s, 9263 W Atlantic Blvd.
Domestic Violence and Assaults
Carlos Orbegozo (42) was arrested on January 16 for domestic battery by strangulation.
Nathan D. Melillo (38) was arrested on January 17 for aggravated assault with a firearm.
DUI and Narcotics
Fritz Gaetan Heyliger (43) was arrested on January 16 for first-offense DUI.
Alexander Cruz (37) was arrested on January 19 for possession of methamphetamine.
