The Coral Springs Parkland Democratic Club is gearing up to host an exciting and unforgettable luncheon on Sunday, May 7, featuring prominent Democratic figures and a special tribute to a community champion.
Held on Sunday, May 7, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Coral Springs Hotel & Convention Center. The event will be hosted by Coral Springs Commissioner Joshua Simmons.
Although Manny Oliver will not be joining the event due to a previous engagement, there will be plenty of heavy-hitting Democrats in attendance to make up for it. State Attorney Harold Pryor, State Representatives Dan Daley, and Christine Hunschofsky, and Commissioner Nancy Metayer Bowen are among the confirmed speakers at the event. The luncheon will also honor volunteer Norman Grad for his service to the community.
Attendees are in for a treat with a menu that caters to everyone’s dietary preferences. The menu includes a garden salad, chicken teriyaki, pasta primavera, sauteed vegetables with garlic and oil rigatoni, pan-seared salmon with Beurre Blanc sauce, and NY-style cheesecake.
Tickets for the event are $75 and can be purchased online at cspkluncheon.eventbrite.com. Those paying at the door can reach out to the club’s treasurer, Ruby Silverstein, at springs113@aol.com.
The event will also feature a silent auction, where attendees can bid on exciting items such as a pair of 2024 season Heat tickets with a parking pass, a one-night weekend stay at the Marriott, a fresh American flag from the nation’s capital, and the opportunity to have lunch with a lucky commissioner, or state rep.
