A 23-year-old Coral Springs man was killed when his car collided with another vehicle Sunday, authorities said.
Erick Mardirossian, 23, was driving a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta east on Southwest 10th Street in Deerfield Beach around 10:45 p.m. when the Jetta collided with a 2015 Hyundai Sonata driven by Anthony R. Havens, the Broward Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.
Havens was driving westbound on Southwest 10th Street and made a left turn to travel south on Waterways Boulevard before the cars collided, authorities said.
The cars smashed into one another in the intersection, after which the Jetta struck a large pole, according to BSO. Both vehicles came to a stop along the south swale of Southwest 10th Street.
Paramedics rushed Mardirossian to Broward Health North, where doctors pronounced him dead, authorities said.
The BSO Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the crash.
Additional information about the incident was not immediately made public Wednesday.
