
Dr. Marcelo L. Martinez
The YMCA of South Florida has appointed Dr. Marcelo L. Martinez, a Coral Springs resident and Hotwire Communications executive, to its Board of Directors.
Martinez, who serves as Regional Executive Vice President and General Manager of Hotwire Communications for Miami-Dade and Monroe counties, brings extensive leadership experience to the role. He manages a team of 75 employees and is responsible for the company’s regional growth.
“Marcelo is an extraordinary leader,” said Sheryl A. Woods, CEO of the YMCA of South Florida. “His leadership, insights, and business acumen will be an asset to the Y as we continue to strengthen our local communities.”
Martinez joined Hotwire Communications in 2020 as Senior Director of Account Management for Southeast Florida. He was later promoted to Vice President of Account Management and held two other positions before assuming his current role in 2023.
Before his tenure at Hotwire Communications, Martinez spent nearly eight years as Regional Director for FirstService Residential Florida in Hollywood. He has also held board positions with the Community Association Institute Southeast Florida Chapter, Key Biscayne Chamber of Commerce, Aventura Marketing Council/Chamber of Commerce, and EmpowHERto.
Martinez, who currently resides in the Cypress Run community, holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Rollins College, an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Nova Southeastern University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems from the University of Miami.
