2022 Deck the Halls Holiday Décor Contest Winners
By Sharon Aron Baron
Three homes have been selected for the City of Coral Springs Deck the Halls Holiday Decor Contest.
The city received 15 outstanding entries and selected the top three based on creativity, theme, and effort of exterior decorations only.
Judges included city staff, who, for the first time, drove to view all 15 entries in person to best see the display, music, and setup.
First Place
A lifelong resident of the city, Kyle Justin, has participated in the contest for three years.
Landing third place back in 2018 and second place last year, the city announced he placed first this year.
According to the City of Coral Springs, Kyle loves seeing the community come together and spread the holiday cheer. He is extremely thankful for his family and friends’ support this year.
Second Place
The Robison Family has placed third in the “Deck the Halls” contest for the past two years.
This year they take home second place. The Robison’s have lived in Coral Springs for six years, and every year they make sure to include hidden Mickey’s in their holiday décor.
It takes the family several weeks to decorate their home, so stop by and wish them a happy holiday! House #15 on the map.
Third Place
The Murphy Family began participating in 2019. This year, they have received third place.
The Murphy family has lived in Coral Springs since 2004, and every year on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving, family and friends help decorate the house in the North Springs neighborhood; even family from Canada fly down to assist.
They host a gathering to light the house to kick off the holiday season.
First, second, and third-place winners received a gift card to a local business and a yard sign highlighting their win for display. Casa Décor and More and Let’s Chill Homemade Ice Cream made donations towards this.
Residents are invited to take a holiday car ride around the city to view the Deck the Halls Holiday Décor Contest entries using this map.
