Five Element Wellness Center celebrates six months in its new location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce.
The business combines acupuncture and integrative medicine services for patients using a holistic method that focuses on whole-body care, according to their website.
Besides acupuncture and alternative therapies, Five Element provides cupping, massage, and manual therapy; fertility cosmetic treatments, endermologie to reduce cellulite, teeth whitening, foot detox, homeopathic injections, and natural pain injections.
Dr. Monique Rodriguez-Bain, a board-certified and licensed acupuncture physician and owner, said Five Element had been looking to move to Coral Springs for a few years.
First opening in 2001 in Sunrise, Five Element branched out to Weston and Tamarac. Their Tamarac location remained open from 2008 until late 2021 before moving to Coral Springs, at 10251 W. Sample Road.
“We love the space; we love the area we’re in,” she said. “We always wanted to be in Coral Springs. For us, moving to Coral Springs has been great.“
Rodriguez-Bain said that the company has patients across the tri-county area who benefit from their services. This includes first responders, 911 dispatchers, and veterans.
Five Element also provides services to city employees, and Rodriguez-Bain hopes to expand the company’s services to city staff further.
She hopes to double the company’s size and help as many people as possible by convincing people to think of their whole-body health to prevent ailments rather than react to them.
She has an essential partner in Five Element, her mother and co-owner Rita Gusmao. While Rodriguez-Bain handles much of the face-to-face interactions of Five Element, Rita is instrumental in the company’s administrative processes.
“It can be challenging to work with family, but it has worked well for us,” she said.
Furthermore, they go above and beyond for their clients, including prospective ones. When clients enter their business, she said it becomes a home and a safe place for them.
“[Our customers] become part of the family,” said Rodriguez-Bain. “They are not numbers. We really want them to feel welcome.”
The ribbon-cutting ceremony is Friday, June 24, at 11:30 a.m. Located at 10251 W. Sample Road.
