The Gold Coast Youth Orchestra now accepts registrations for its 2025 String Orchestra Summer Program, a four-week educational experience designed specifically for intermediate and advanced string players.
Running from Saturday, June 28, through Saturday, July 26, the program culminates in a final concert showcasing the talents of participating musicians. Students can explore new music, refine their technique, and build ensemble skills in a motivating and goal-driven environment.
Rehearsals will be held at St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2500 NE 14th Street Causeway, Pompano Beach. Sessions will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tuition for the program is $450 for those who register before May 30. A late registration fee of $475 applies to applications received after that date. All applications must be submitted by June 16 and include a non-refundable deposit of $200. The full balance is due by June 28.
Zoom auditions are scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Individual audition times will be emailed to applicants.
Students must bring their own instrument and equipment, including a bow, shoulder rest, or rock stop.
The orchestra’s Starter Strings and Junior Strings programs will resume in September 2025.
