The National League of Cities (NLC) Centennial Roadshow, a historic initiative to visit 100 cities in one year, made a significant stop at Coral Springs City Hall on Wednesday.
The event took place at Coral Springs City Hall, where more than 100 city employees greeted the NLC 100 RV on the City Hall Lawn with the city’s welcoming slogan, “Everything Under the Sun.”
Coral Springs Commissioner and NLC Board Member Joshua Simmons delivered a welcome message and led a tour of City Hall.
“For more than a century, the NLC has advocated for and protected the interest of thousands of cities, towns, and villages across the nation by driving federal policy, encouraging local leadership, and spearheading local innovation,” said Simmons. “They help to make us the premier community in which to live, work, and raise a family.”
Founded in 1924, the NLC is celebrating its centennial milestone by visiting 100 cities in 2024. The roadshow kicked off in Lawrence, Kansas, in February and has since visited numerous municipalities nationwide.
