A love for music and poetry is a driving force for Liam Kenny, the percussion captain in the Coral Springs High School Marching Colts Band.
Kenny is an expert quads drum player and loves being in the marching band. Before high school, he was a member of the Forest Glen Middle School band.
“Music is something I really enjoy, and I enjoy leading the percussion section,” said Kenny.
A junior, Kenny has a 5.1 grade point average and is a member of the poetry club, as well as a writer for the school newspaper.
“We meet once a week to share our poetry, and we will be entering our poems in competitions,” said Kenny.
Band director Bryan Ardilla is impressed with Kenny and said he is a good musician and leader.
