The Coral Springs Festival of the Arts has officially named Martin Karadzhov as its Signature Artist for its upcoming 2024 edition.
Karadzhov’s entry, an oil painting titled “Rock n′ Roll,” showcases an electric guitarist emerging from a vibrant backdrop of abstract paint splashes, capturing the essence of music through vivid colors and textured strokes.
The artwork, distinguished by the inclusion of two colorful butterflies, symbolizes the grace and beauty of the music created by the guitarist.
Karadzhov explains, “The butterflies represent the sound of the guitar strings and the whirlwind of romantic musical emotions.”
Joe Morera, President of the Coral Springs Festival of the Arts, praised “Rock n′ Roll” for embodying the festival’s spirit, which blends music, art, and entertainment.
Selected by a blind committee from entries across Broward and Palm Beach counties, Karadzhov’s work was evaluated for its originality, style, mastery of the medium, and professionalism.
As the Signature Artist, his painting will be prominently featured in the festival’s promotional materials and merchandise. Karadzhov, who will also receive a $500 stipend, is afforded the opportunity to showcase and sell his works at a complimentary booth during the festival.
A native of Bulgaria, Karadzhov has been passionate about art from a young age, a journey supported by his family and formalized with a Master of Fine Arts Degree from the National Academy of Fine Art University in Sofia.
Since moving to America in 2003, he has established Luxury Murals LLC in Pompano Beach, offering decorative interior artwork to clientele who appreciate Old World artistry.
The 18th Annual Festival of the Arts, set to take place on March 16 and 17, 2024, at The Walk of Coral Springs, promises an array of attractions. Beyond showcasing over 200 artisans and crafters through a professional juried arts and crafts show, the festival will feature Gardenfest, live music, dance, theater, literary performances, and a dedicated children’s area, ensuring a vibrant celebration of the arts.
