A local charity is holding a live music fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting those battling Parkinson’s disease.
The DOB Parkinson’s Charity is hosting its 3rd Annual Singer-Songwriter Charity Event on Sunday, December 8, from 5:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. at Sharkey’s Bar and Grill at 10365 Royal Palm Boulevard.
This year’s event features a ’70s theme, five solo acts, and six duos.
Headlining the solo performances are J.P. Soars, a blues legend known for his electrifying guitar skills; Ericson Holt, a Key West recording artist with a soulful sound; Billy Livesay, leader of The Livesays; Joe Almonte, a performer from the band Havoc 305; and the multi-talented musician, Sara Ann.
According to event organizers, 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the DOB Parkinson’s Charity, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with Parkinson’s disease.
Tickets to the DOB Parkinson’s Charity show are $35 per person and can be purchased through the charity’s website at dobparkinsonscharity.com or via Zelle at 848-702-2233.
Last year’s event was a sell-out, so organizers encourage attendees to make reservations to ensure a spot at this year’s show.
Visit the foundation’s website for more information about the event or to learn more about DOB Parkinson’s Charity.
