A man was fatally shot and a woman arrested in a domestic-related homicide in Coral Springs Saturday night, police said.
Denise Malcolm, 45, was charged with premeditated murder after allegedly killing a man inside a residence in the 10500 block of Northwest 43rd Street, Coral Springs Police Chief Bradley McKeone said in a video posted on social media Sunday.
The victim was shot multiple times, McKeone said. His identity was not made public, and police did not say what his relationship was with Malcolm.
McKeone said police received a 911 call shortly after 6:30 p.m. from a boy inside the residence, who said a man there had been shot.
McKeone said officers rushed to the scene and gave verbal commands inside the residence as two children exited safely.
Upon giving further verbal commands, the officers heard a gunshot, and a woman exited the residence, the chief said.
Police found the victim inside, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene after officers tried to provide life-saving medical treatment, McKeone said.
A gun was found at the scene, police said.
Additional information about the homicide was not immediately made public.
