The J.P. Taravella Trojans had three wrestlers win a District Championship on Thursday at Fort Lauderdale High School.
Vaiden Mesa-Rodriguez (120), Alex “El Captain” Papalardo (138), and Victor King (285) all placed first in their respective weight class.
The Trojans also had two wrestlers finish in third place as both Tariq Quaiyim (170) and Jacob Rosen (132) will have the chance to compete in Regionals.
Next, JPT will compete in Regionals starting on February 26 at G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School in Miami.
