The 954 Takeover girls travel basketball team, featuring several of the top players from Broward County, turned in an undefeated run in Orlando to capture a tournament championship.
The team went 3-0, earning a pair of victories over the Lady Storm. The 954 Takeover opened with a 34-30 win before defeating the Lady Storm 49-38 in the championship game. They also recorded a dominant 59-16 victory over Space Coast Fury Select.
The team was coached by Mariah Triplet and featured longtime Coral Springs resident Donald Calloway as its director. The team featured a pair of stars from the Coral Springs High School girls basketball team with Janyah Holmes and Janelle Swaby.
The championship roster also included Anabelle Barger (Western), Tikerria Crouse (Palm Beach Central), Contessa Gilley (NSU University), London Rolle (Somerset College Prep) and Genesis Valient (Sunset).
