Coral Springs Middle School will be holding their 6th-grade orientation, where incoming students will experience a fun and informative day.
Called “Stallion Stampede” the event will take place on Tuesday, August 6 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Several topics covered at orientation include learning how to utilize technology resources, like Canvas, Pinnacle, Khan Academy, and other useful tools for learning. Also included will be a scavenger hunt where the students will use iPads to look for QR codes to help them get familiar with the campus, organization tips, an art activity where they will help create a new mural for the cafeteria wall, and a science experiment.
Students should be dropped off in the front of the school and will be checked in by staff members. Pick up is at noon in front of the school.
Included in the orientation will be a CSMS T-shirt and lunch. Go to Coralspringsmiddle.browardschools.com under incoming 6th grade Student Information for pre-registration. Students can also register the day of the event with their form and a cash payment of $15.00.
