Ramblewood Elementary is hosting its second Annual Community Safety Day and Touch-a-Truck and is inviting all children with sensory issues to join them.
PTO Co-President Laura Sullivan said proceeds go towards a good cause.
“Kids from all over South Florida come to have fun while learning how to be safe, and proceeds provide much-needed safety updates to our school,” she said.
Held on Saturday, November 9, the sensory-friendly portion of the event will be held from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. where there will be no flashing lights or sirens. The event will continue until 12:00 p.m.
There will be a fire engine, rescue vehicle, and Sparky’s House from the Coral Springs Parkland Fire Department. Also, several police vehicles and a SWAT Bearcat from the Coral Springs Police Department, along with Margate Police vehicles.
The $7 admission includes a bounce house, obstacle course, coloring contest, face painters, and a DJ. Food trucks, raffles, and a bake sale will be available for purchase the day of the event. Adults are free.
Ramblewood Elementary School is located at 8950 Shadowwood Blvd, Coral Springs, FL 33071.
