Recognizing an extreme need for a valuable resource in the South Florida community, Church by the Glades will give away the ever-elusive, hard-to-find, toilet paper on Friday.
Starting at 5 p.m. tonight, all of their locations will distribute toilet paper rolls via car line with a two-roll limit per vehicle — all while following precautions to keep COVID-19 at bay.
The toilet paper giveaway aims to distribute 5,000 rolls across the three church campuses on March 20. Except for the toilet paper giveaway, buildings at Church by the Glades are closed, with services live-streamed on their website until further notice.
Church by the Glades has two campuses in Coral Springs, one at 400 Lakeview Drive, and another on the corner of Sample Road and Riverside Drive; the third location of the megachurch in South Florida is located in Lake Worth.
Lead Pastor David Hughes said he created this giveaway because the last thing people should be concerned about right now is their basic needs.
