This week, the Humane Society of Broward County has some wonderful pets to choose from. All adoptions include spaying or neutering, vaccinations, a microchip, treatment for flea and ticks, and much more.
Wilson
Adorable Wilson (ID 652074) is a 2-year-old hound dog mix with long legs and weighs just 52 pounds.
He, like most hounds, enjoys sniffing…a lot! He also likes meeting new people and going for walks, so if you’re looking for a walking partner, he could be perfect.
Wilson was not on heartworm preventative and does have heartworms. This is not contagious to other dogs or people and is spread through the bite of an infected mosquito. His new family must be willing to bring him back to the Humane Society of Broward County as an out-patient. The shelter covers the expensive cost of this treatment.
Nina
Beautiful Nina (652327) is a 4-year-old gal looking for the perfect home to relax in. She can be a little sassy sometimes but does enjoy belly rubs and lounging in a sunny warm spot.
The staff has noticed that when she gets hungry, she is more vocal and will let you know. Nina also loves to climb on her cat tree and scratch on a scratching post.
If you are looking for a friend to love forever, would you consider Nina? J.R. Dunn Jewelers have kindly sponsored my adoption fee.
To meet one of these pets, fill out a pre-adoption application online at www.humanebroward.com. Once completed, visit the shelter located at 2070 Griffin Road, a block west of I-95, opening daily at 11 a.m. For questions, call 954-989-3977 ext. 6.
