Coral Springs Charter Middle School wrestling made history on April 27.
At the first-ever Broward County Middle School Championships held at Cardinal Gibbons, the Panthers sent three wrestlers to the finals. After both wrestlers reached the finals, Peter Mocco and Jaiden Valentin came in first place by Bosworth fell to Valentin.
Mocco and Valentin combined to win six matches while Bosworth went 2-1.
“The kids all performed extremely well, said Head Coach Eric Perez. “However, I see the work that they have all been putting in the week in and week out, and results like these are almost expected. They did a great job and will continue to improve. Thank you to everyone that made this event possible.”
