Coral Glades Drama is set to delight audiences with its production of Puffs! Or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic, at J.P. Taravella High School.
The performance schedule includes evening shows at 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, and Friday, January 17, with a matinee at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 18.
Tickets are available for pre-purchase through Coral Glades Drama Director Diana Focas at diana.focas@browardschools.com. Pre-sale prices are $10 for students, school staff, and seniors aged 55 and older and $15 for general admission. Walk-up prices are slightly higher at $12 and $17.
According to Focas, the students of Coral Glades Drama have been preparing for this magical parody for months. Last Friday, the team loaded a U-Haul with sets, costumes, and equipment to transport the production to JP Taravella High School. Over the weekend and each evening leading up to opening night, the students, director, and parent volunteers have worked tirelessly on technical elements, including sound, lighting, props, and costumes.
“It’s a true labor of love,” she said, emphasizing the dedication of everyone involved. Once the final show wraps on Saturday, the entire production will be packed and transported back to Coral Glades.
The cast features Keon Silas, Abstrong Alix Charles, Ivy Levine, Vivian Marsiello, Donald DiCarlo, Melanie Lemus, Malakai Rosemey, Abigail Miller, Madison Joseph, Nialya Flores, Stephen Karow, Victoria Wong, Ashanti Harvey, and Paris Jones.
Behind the scenes, the crew includes Gabriela Barrios, Kal-El Dillon, Darien Qualles, Zahir Beasley, Makayla Eluett, Trinity Moss, Hanna Delva, Carissa Anderson, Isabella Jagan, Grace Montoya, Mariana Dos Santos, Logan Begley, Delainey Littman, Daniel Alzate, David Guadron, Natasha Rosendo, and Naphael Mason, among others.
J.P. Taravella High School is located at 10600 Riverside Dr, Coral Springs.
