The Coral Springs Festival of the Arts has announced Manyan as the 2025 Signature Artist for her oil-on-canvas painting, A Relaxing Afternoon, chosen as the event’s final signature piece.
Depicting a serene beach scene with lounge chairs under a vibrant umbrella surrounded by palm trees, the artwork encapsulates tranquility and reflection.
Festival President Joe Morera explained the significance of this year’s selection. “With this year being the last Festival, we picked a peaceful scene that evokes a calm and quiet beauty to mark the end of an era. A Relaxing Afternoon moves us to reflect on everything we have accomplished throughout the many years of this Festival and it seemed a very fitting final signature art piece.”
Born in China, Manyan was deeply influenced by her culture’s emphasis on structure and design. Her passion for architecture and engineering led her to pursue an engineering degree from Southeast University in Nanjing. After relocating to Canada in 2000, she moved to Florida four years later, where she fell in love with the state’s natural beauty.
Manyan honed her artistic skills at the Razza Art School in Coral Springs, where she cultivated her unique style blending engineering precision with visual storytelling. Through painting, she captures beauty and serenity often overlooked in daily life, while her photography documents fleeting moments and enriches her artistic perspective.
As the 2025 Signature Artist, Manyan’s painting will feature prominently in the Festival’s advertising and promotional materials. In addition to this recognition, she has received a $500 stipend and a complimentary booth at the event to showcase and sell her artwork.
The selection process, conducted by a blind committee, drew entries from talented artists across Broward and Palm Beach counties. Submissions were judged on originality, technique, and how well they represent the Festival’s artistic spirit.
The Final Festival
The 19th Annual Festival of the Arts will take place March 15–16, 2025, at The Walk of Coral Springs. This beloved event will feature a juried arts and crafts show with over 200 artisans and crafters, alongside Gardenfest, live music, dance exhibitions, theatrical performances, and a children’s area.
