Police responded in force to Coral Springs Charter School and the surrounding blocks Tuesday afternoon as the school was placed on lockdown.
There were no active threats at the school at 3205 N. University Dr. and the lockdown was lifted around 1 p.m., police said.
According to the department, it appeared someone may have tripped an alarm inside the school.
Police said they would remain at the scene as they investigate.
“The teachers and students are safe,” said Coral Springs Police Sgt. Ernesto Bruna.
