The Coral Springs Police Department reported numerous crimes across the city between August 11 and 17, 2025. Please note that the police have redacted the names of victims and addresses of most incidents.
Incidents
Traffic Violations
Multiple violations were reported throughout the week, including at N. University Drive, Coral Ridge Drive, Rock Island Road, W. Sample Road, W. Atlantic Boulevard, and other intersections.
Suspicious Incidents
Reported on Sportsplex Drive, N. University Drive, and other locations.
Stalking
Simple and aggravated stalking cases were reported in Coral Springs on several dates, including Aug. 11 and Aug. 13.
DUI
Incidents of DUI were reported on Riverside Drive/W. Atlantic Boulevard and Woodside Drive/Wiles Road.
Grand Theft
A grand theft totaling $38,250 was reported on Aug. 11.
A separate case on Aug. 12 reported $15,000 in losses.
On Aug. 17, Sam’s Club reported a theft with a total loss of $750.
Another incident on Aug. 17 involved the theft of a firearm valued at $300.
Domestic Battery
Multiple domestic-related batteries were reported across the city, including incidents on Aug. 11, Aug. 13, Aug. 14, Aug. 15, and Aug. 16.
Narcotics Possession
Several incidents of narcotics possession and drug paraphernalia were reported, including arrests tied to cannabis and psilocybin.
Fraud
Multiple fraud cases were documented with losses ranging from $150 to $18,000.
Identity Theft
Identity theft and fraudulent ID card possession were reported on several occasions.
Burglary/Theft From Auto
At least four vehicle burglaries were reported, with losses ranging from $65 to $5,900.
Shoplifting
Kohl’s: $171 in merchandise stolen.
Target: $44 loss.
Walmart: Multiple thefts totaling over $466 in losses.
Chipotle: $25 reported stolen.
University Drive retailer: $399 in merchandise taken.
Sam’s Club: $750 theft reported.
Other Incidents
Multiple Baker Act cases were filed.
Two medically attended deaths were reported on Aug. 16.
An elderly neglect case was reported on Aug. 17.
A case of sexual cyberharassment was reported on Aug. 15.
Several “risk of harm” and “property damage” cases were also documented.

Jeremiah Curtis Eugene Taylor, 21 — Driving with suspended license (1st offense), Aug. 11.
Aaron Iveery Louis, 25 — Possession of another’s personal ID (4 or fewer), Aug. 12.
John E. Dent, 38 — Cannabis possession (over 20 grams/synthetic), Aug. 12.
Deandre Lavell Ponder, 31 — Driving with suspended license (third or subsequent offense), Aug. 12.
Johana Mireya Diaz, 39 — DUI Alcohol or Drugs (1st offense), Aug. 12.
Gerard Pierre, 21 — Driving with suspended license without knowledge, Aug. 13.
Donald Raynell Witty, 37 — Petit Theft ($100–$750), Aug. 13.
Nyah Binghi Tafari Adderley, 33 — Possession of harmful drug without prescription, Aug. 13.
Michael Frank Trapp, 40 — Trespass after warning, Aug. 13.
Javon Bernard Springer, 29 — Shoplifting/petit theft, Aug. 13.
Mohammad Shakeel Rehman, 29 — Stalking, Aug. 13.
Jerzy Maria Wielecki, 41 — Shoplifting/retail theft, Aug. 14.
Yuri H. Hechavarria Saavedra, 45 — Driving with suspended license, Aug. 14.
Ariana Acevedo, 19 — Grand Theft ($751–$5,000), Aug. 14.
Nealando Richards, 48 — Throwing object into building/vehicle, Aug. 14.
Kaylin C. Scognamiglio, 20 — Domestic Battery, Aug. 14.
Andrew Joshua Lainez, 28 — Possession of THC, Aug. 15.
David Anthony Palermo, 55 — Domestic Battery, Aug. 16.
